Student Interaction
There are two topics of discussion here, that of student interaction in the classroom setting, and of student interaction outside of the classroom setting.
Inside the Classroom Setting
There are many subtopics here including: student interaction in large classes, improvement Student-Teacher Interaction, and the relationship between student interaction and performance. Since a tutorial could be developed on this topic alone, information regarding these topics will be offered as related links or in the "Readings" section.
Outside of the Classroom Setting As an adjunct, you may be faced with the challenge of fulfilling campus policies for on-site office hours but also may not have been provided with a private space in which to meet with students in small groups or individually.
Many system colleges and universities now offer a variety of ways to facilitate student interaction online. These are often found within your course management package or, as in the case of some of the larger universities, are offered in addition to those within programs like WebCt, Blackboard or Desire to Learn.
This section will allow you to compare options and provide you with the resources to try them out on your own.
